Snafi Driver Privacy Policy
How Snafi Al Aamal Establishment handles driver account and trip data.
1. Operator and contact
Snafi Al Aamal Establishment (مؤسسة سنافي الأعمال), based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, operates Snafi Driver. This policy covers driver data used for registration, receiving and completing orders, the wallet, and support.
For questions about your data, or to request access, correction, or deletion, contact support in the app or email info@snafi.sa. We may ask you to verify account ownership. Do not send support your verification code or sign-in credentials.
2. Registration and documents
We process your mobile number and country code, name, profile photo, national ID or Iqama number, identity type and nationality, verification and session data, account language, and registration and review status. We also process your work country, order reception preferences, tow truck details and plate, and ownership type.
Registration files include a national ID or Iqama, driving licence, driver card, vehicle registration, tow truck operating card, and front and rear photos of the truck. Depending on the driver and truck ownership, they also include driving authorisation, a commercial registration certificate, an activity licence, and proof of work affiliation. These support registration review, operational eligibility, and account updates.
Automatic data extraction is limited to a national ID or Iqama, vehicle registration, and a commercial registration certificate or official extract. When document data extraction is used, images or PDF files for these documents are sent through Snafi servers to OpenAI to extract Arabic and English field values. Suggested values may contain errors and can fill editable registration draft fields automatically. You can review and edit them, or clear them, before saving or submitting your registration. Extraction does not verify your identity or approve a document. You can continue entering details manually if reading fails or you prefer to do so.
3. Earnings, wallet, and payouts
We process earnings, commissions, compensation, wallet balances, pending funds or funds held for withdrawal, and transaction records, statuses, and references. For payouts through STC Bank, we process the recipient's name, the mobile number linked to the payout method, and transfer execution and result data.
This data is used to calculate and review trip earnings, execute withdrawals, follow up unresolved transactions, and settle errors or disputes. An account deletion request does not erase your entitlement to funds or cancel a pending transfer.
4. Location, order reception, and trip tracking
With permission, the app uses device location to update your readiness and receive nearby orders, calculate routes, show trip progress, and verify trip actions such as arrival and completion. Order reception updates are tied to receiving orders; those updates stop when reception is turned off or the account enters an active trip.
During an active trip, the app requests background location permission so tracking can continue while you use navigation or place Snafi in the background. Updates depend on your permission, device settings, and connectivity. Installing the app alone does not start permanent tracking of all your movements.
Trip location tracking stops when trip monitoring ends or its session is left. You can change location permission in device settings. Disabling location can prevent order reception, trip tracking, or confirmation of trip actions.
5. Trip data, vehicle photos, and ratings
We process order details, pickup and destination, route, times, trip status, and contact details needed to communicate with the customer. Vehicle documentation consists of four photos before loading, one after loading, and four after unloading, linked to the order record.
The customer linked to the order can view their vehicle photos during tracking and in order history. Authorised management and support staff can access them for operations and complaints. These photos are not presented as a public gallery.
Drivers see the customer's average rating and rating count, and can review the score they submitted for the customer after their completed trip; driver comments about a customer are for management. My performance shows drivers their own overall average rating and rating count, without individual customer scores or comments. Management uses ratings and complaints to review service quality.
6. Data use and sharing
We use data to register drivers, review their details, distribute and perform orders, track service, manage earnings, send notifications, provide support, and protect accounts. The customer linked to your order sees information needed to identify and contact the driver and follow the service. Authorised Snafi staff access data needed for review, operations, and settlement.
Technical services include Firebase for notifications, available verification services such as Twilio over WhatsApp or SMS, STC Bank for payouts, Mapbox for maps and routes, OpenAI for extracting registration document field values, and hosting and file storage providers. Each receives data needed for its function, such as a mobile number, device notification token, coordinates, transfer details, or document images and PDF files.
Profile photos and tow truck photos are not sent to the document data extraction service. They are used for registration and review as described in this policy.
These providers may process data in infrastructure outside Saudi Arabia. Handling a claim or a request from a competent authority may require sharing related records. Ask support for more information about processing of your account data.
7. Maps and technical measurements
Map features send Mapbox the coordinates and search or route requests needed to provide the service. The maps SDK may also collect usage and operational measurements, technical identifiers, and device, connection, and location data according to permissions and SDK settings.
Open Mapbox options through the information or attribution button on the map to use the optional telemetry opt-out available in its native interface. Opting out of optional telemetry does not stop connections necessary for maps or Snafi trip location updates. Location permission can be controlled in device settings.
8. Device permissions, notifications, and support
Camera or photo access is requested when you capture or select registration files, vehicle documentation, or support attachments. The app requests notification permission for orders, trips, wallet, and support updates, using the device's notification token.
Support records include the ticket subject and description, messages, attachments, and the support rating you submit. We also process connection and operational data needed to protect the service and handle order results.
You can change permissions in device settings. Disabling notifications does not cancel a trip or transfer. Follow its status in the app, and avoid sending sensitive information that is not needed to handle your request.
9. Data retention and protection
The app uses HTTPS connections and session and access checks for accounts, orders, and files. Restricted trip files are made available through temporary read links after an access check.
Original attachments are retained with registration files for management review under the retention policy described here. We do not store the full OCR transcript on Snafi servers. Structured field suggestions are cached temporarily; the cache expires after 24 hours, and these suggestions are purged when account deletion is completed. Details that you confirm and save become part of your registration data and follow the retention policy for that data.
Retention needs depend on the file or record, its purpose, and related trips, settlements, complaints, and obligations. This policy does not specify one period for every record, and a deletion request does not immediately remove all records. Contact us about particular data, the reason and period for retaining it, or deleting data that is no longer required.
10. Requesting driver account deletion
To request driver account deletion, open Menu and choose Request account deletion. You can follow the request status and its support ticket on the same page. You can cancel while the request is under review; signing in does not automatically cancel it. If you cannot sign in, email info@snafi.sa, state that you are requesting deletion of a driver account, and provide its mobile number with country code. Submitting the request starts a human review; it does not automatically delete the account or execute a financial transaction.
Snafi reviews account ownership, active trips, entitlements, wallet funds, earnings, and pending payouts before carrying out deletion. Deletion cannot be completed during an active trip or before outstanding funds, wallet balances, and pending payouts are settled. The deletion request is separate from completing a trip or settling funds. Follow up with support on requirements for processing the request.
Related trip, photo, commission, wallet, transfer, and correspondence records may need to remain to settle obligations or complaints or preserve rights. Support can explain what can be deleted and what must remain in your case. Removing the app from a device does not delete the account.
